Yate Shopping Centre in South Gloucestershire is a critical, central mass in town. It enjoys incredibly low vacancy – mainly due to very strongly engaged occupiers and the community. Shoppers visit frequently returning at multiple times throughout the week and our internal data research showed that unusually, the centre was not significantly oversupplied on retail.


The centre has undergone a series of private ownerships since Ellandi’s first involvement in 2015. Throughout the past eight years we have worked collaboratively between private owners, most recently Northdale Asset Management & Magnetar Capital and the Council to shape a masterplan that better serves the community proving a compelling proposition to future investment.


Ellandi oversaw the final stages of development of Yate Riverside welcoming six screen Cineworld in 2016 and several well-known restaurant chains such as Nando’s and KFC. 


To further evolve the town centre, we are working to bring in more alternative uses such as more residential, greener transport links and better public realm.


Ellandi is supporting South Gloucestershire Councils ‘ regeneration objectives to promote urban lifestyles, connectivity, health and resilience for the local community and an enduring sense of place.
