Farnborough Town Centre Regeneration

Overview

In 2022 Sovereign Housing Association acquired the Princes Mead Shopping Centre in the town centre of Farnborough. The aspiration is to create an exciting, flagship design-led development to create a strong and successful community.

The site has the potential to deliver a residential-led mixed-use scheme that leans on the adjacencies associated with the location, including the existing surroundings and Civic Quarter to the south. The project seeks redevelopment of the site to deliver over 350 new homes, including affordable provision that supports a quality residential offer and provides relevant, attractive space and brands for the town centre through a mix of high-quality public realm, food and beverage, retail, and community spaces.

The overarching vision is to re-profile Princes Mead Shopping Centre as the vibrant focus for the whole community, with town centre living, well-being, inclusion, and opportunity at its heart.

The success of this project is dependent on creating a common vision with broad appeal and support from all significant stakeholders and the wider community.
