Strand Shopping Centre Bootle

The centre is situated in a prominent location within the town centre and effectively acts as the town’s entire retail provision.

Set over two levels, the scheme comprises 132 retail units and benefits from 580 car parking spaces over 5 levels and an integral bus station. Key national retailers within the shopping centre include B&M, Home Bargains, JD Sports, Boots, New Look and Peacocks.

The Strand Shopping Centre is a covered shopping centre which the council purchased in April 2017. Sefton Council have recently announced the exciting Bootle Canal Side development which sits alongside the Strand Shopping Centre and will offer waterside F&B, events and green space to open up the canal and facilitate the wider regeneration of Bootle. Plans are being put in place for a major refurbishment of the centre to link in with this regeneration.

Originally a small hamlet built near the 'sand hills' of the river estuary it has, over the centuries, grown to a resident population of c100,000 people. Past residents include Jamie Carragher, Steve McManaman and Roy Evans who were all born and raised in Bootle.

Bootle is a major port town in the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton, located in the North West of England. The town is located 3 miles (5km) to the north of Liverpool city centre and 17 miles (27km) south of Southport. Bootle is well served by the M57 and M58, both of which link to the M6 and the national motorway network.

Bootle New Strand railway station is located adjacent to the scheme and provides links to Liverpool & Southport via a regular service. The town centre bus station is integrated within the scheme and services a comprehensive bus network.
