Knowsley Council is currently delivering a phased regeneration programme in Kirkby. Left disappointed by unfulfilled private investor plans and rejected proposals for public funding streams, the Council has taken control of the town’s future. The Council appointed Ellandi in 2022 as a partner to proactively maintain and build income from the centre and maximise its impact on future development and funding strategies. 

The new retail development offers a Morrisons superstore, a petrol filling station, a Home Bargains, and three drive-thru restaurants let to McDonalds, Taco Bell and KFC. All these tenants are now open and trading successfully.

Kirkby’s social challenges underscore the heightened significance of the amenities and services it offers to foster social interaction, improve health outcomes, enhance mental well-being, and promote literacy. Ellandi is collaborating with the council to offer strategic master planning guidance on certain adjoining sites.
